Cyber Security Engineer – Contract Position – Inside IR356 Month Initial Contract 
Onsite Requirements in East Midlands 
Inside IR35 

Our longstanding client is looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to join an exciting project they have won assisting in a major operation across the UK. The Client are based in the East Midlands and will require onsite availability for this position.
**SC Clearance is a must**
System Security Requirements:
Identify, define, and document system security requirements.
Provide recommendations to management for enhancing security measures.
Configuration and Maintenance:
Monitor systems for irregular behaviour and implement preventive measures.
Respond promptly to security incidents and queries from the Security team, including TVA queries.
Audit and Assessment:
Review audit logs as required by the Security team.
Perform security assessments on servers and cloud (AWS) infrastructure.
Collaboration and Liaison:
Liaise with local teams and third parties, including penetration testers, to facilitate security audits.
Key Competencies:
Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of AWS architecture and infrastructure.
Utilize AWS tools effectively to investigate security incidents. Proficient in AWS, especially CloudTrail and CloudWatch.
Operating System Security:
Showcase expertise in hardening both Windows and Linux operating systems.
Demonstrate proficiency in hardening AWS environments.
Operating System Security Operations:
Experience in security operations for both Windows and Linux environments.
Penetration Testing:
Demonstrated expertise in penetration testing methodologies and tools.
Clearance Requirement:
SC Clearance is mandatory for this role.
