Job Reference: Deep Learning Compiler Engineer

Senior Deep Learning Compiler Engineer

  • USA (Hybrid-Remote) – California/Texas preffered
  • Full-Time Permanent Contract
  • Salary: $220,000–$300,000 (DOE)
  • Total Comp: Equity, Bonus, Insurance, 401(k), etc.

A cutting-edge semiconductor and AI hardware company is building a next-generation neural processing architecture designed to execute both machine learning workloads and traditional compute in a unified framework. Their platform combines custom silicon with tightly integrated software tooling, enabling efficient execution of neural networks alongside conventional control and DSP code across a wide range of edge and endpoint devices, from low-power sensors to high-performance systems.

They are looking to expand their platform software team with a Senior Deep Learning Compiler Engineer who can drive the optimization and lowering of neural networks onto a highly parallel, heterogeneous processing architecture.

Key responsibilities:

  • Driving the lowering and optimization of deep neural networks onto a custom NPU architecture
  • Designing and implementing algorithmic and mathematical optimizations to maximize performance
  • Solving complex, NP-hard optimization problems through heuristics and approximation techniques
  • Developing graph-level optimizations for efficient execution of ML workloads
  • Collaborating closely with software and hardware teams to co-optimize system performance
  • Contributing to compiler infrastructure and optimization pipelines for high-performance compute.

Ideal Profile:

  • Proficiency in C++ (modern standards preferred)
  • Familiarity with ML compiler stacks (e.g. TVM, MLIR, LLVM) and compiler design concepts
  • Strong background in numerical methods and algorithmic optimization
  • Deep understanding of heuristics for solving NP-hard problems
  • Experience with graph algorithms and computational graph optimization
  • Knowledge of machine learning domains such as computer vision, DSP, or deep neural networks

This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of hardware and software, building compiler and optimization technologies that directly impact the performance of next-generation AI systems at the edge.
