Are you bored of working on spaghetti code?
What about an opportunity to design and create firmware for brand new devices?
A rapidly growing technology company at the forefront of next-generation sensing systems, this team designs and delivers state-of-the-art hardware and firmware solutions that capture, process, and interpret the physical world with extraordinary precision.Their innovations power cutting-edge applications across industrial, environmental, and connected device markets; really redefining the way sensors detect, measure, and communicate data across complex environments.
The Role:
As a Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer, you’ll play a central role in developing the intelligent firmware that drives the company’s advanced sensing platforms. You’ll work across the full product lifecycle; from concept and architecture through to prototyping, testing, and deployment, building robust embedded solutions that integrate seamlessly with custom hardware.
Your expertise will sit at the intersection of embedded firmware, wireless communication, and sensor integration. You’ll be hands-on in writing and optimizing low-level code for bare-metal and RTOS environments, ensuring real-time performance and reliability. Beyond the code, you’ll collaborate closely with hardware, RF, and system engineers to bring cutting-edge wireless sensing technologies to life, from BLE and LoRa to proprietary RF links and next-generation connectivity protocols.
This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in fast-paced, innovative environments - someone who loves solving complex technical challenges and pushing the limits of embedded design. You’ll have the chance to shape breakthrough sensing products and see your work deployed in real-world, mission-critical applications.
Key Qualifications:
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Strong background in embedded firmware development, including C/C++, bare-metal, and RTOS environments.
• Proven experience with embedded system design, this is from architecture to integration and testing.
• Solid understanding of sensor technologies, signal processing, or hardware/software co-design.
• Leadership experience in managing or mentoring engineering teams within a product-focused environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for technical excellence.
