Field Application Engineer

Our client is looking for gifted engineers, with experience in hands-on engineering and customer interaction, to come and join them onsite in Belgium to deliver commercial quality, high-powered WiFi Gateway Solutions to their clients. You will represent the face of the business, whilst also being heavily involved with the business-to-client interactions and hands-on in all the steps of the engineering process!

Your Responsibilities will include:

• Providing on-site installations, product trials, and deployments to customers
• Escalating product customization and localization needs of the customer
• Recording, tracking, and handling defects and technical feedback from the customer
• Traveling to customer and vendor sites to rectify problems and troubleshoot when necessary

Candidate Requirements:

• A basic understanding of embedded Linux and Shell/Python is ideal
• Strong professional experience, including field experience in networking with customers
• Firm understanding of network protocols and products i.e Wifi, Ethernet TCP, UDP
• Experience in Customer Premise Equipment devices, residential gateways, and set-top boxes
