5VTech has recently started supporting a multinational organisation that specializes in the field of energy management and automation. This company are looking for a Functional Safety Architect with strong experience in Embedded firmware and hardware to join their team in Pacy-sur-Eure.

In this role you will be joining a team that focuses on the development of variable speed drives for industrial rotating motors (Mechanics, electronics, firmware, software, verification and validation).

You will be working on projects that include functions that must be certified against safety standards (E.g. IEC 61508, ISO 13849). Your role will be at all levels of projects from architecture to implementation and you will use your skills and knowledge to ensure the successful completion of projects.

Some of your other responsibilities include:

• Participate in the functional definition of safety offers.
• Ensure that technical choices comply with all safety standard requirements.
• Define and justify the detailed system architecture in collaboration with other professions (hardware + firmware + software)
• Define and lead the detailed firmware safety verification plan

 
Key skills required:

• Strong experience in functional or operational safety architecture
• Strong knowledge of embedded software, firmware and hardware
• Experience with safety standards – IEC 61508 and IS0 13849 would be nice to have. However other standards would also be considered
