Lead Platform Engineer

5V Tech has been tasked with sourcing a Lead Platform Engineer to take responsibility for delivering robust and scalable solutions for their customers. In this role, you’ll work closely with our VP of Infrastructure and Security to lead the platform engineering team and drive key cloud migration projects.

What will you be doing

• Monitor platform availability and performance using tools like Kibana, Logic Monitor, and Open Telemetry.
• Handle support tickets, troubleshoot issues, and enhance the monitoring stack with new alerts and metrics.
• Lead the migration to public cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize code delivery pipelines using Jenkins (or a new CI solution).
• Help the platform transition from Windows/.NET to Linux/.NET Core/NodeJS and from monolithic to microservices.

Who are we looking for?

• 2+ years of experience building pipelines and monitoring production environments (cloud and on-premises).
• Strong experience with Windows/IIS/SQLServer environments and Unix/Linux.
• Expertise in monitoring/metric tools and a passion for automation.
• Experience with Linux, Windows, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure, AWS, Terraform, and Ansible.
