Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Video Software Engineer to join our team on a 12-month remote contract. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development and optimization of video processing software, leveraging expertise in mpv/ffmpeg/mpp Rockchip video stack, CEA-708, Linux kernel, and Yocto. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects in a remote work environment.
Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize video processing software using mpv/ffmpeg/mpp Rockchip video stack.
• Implement and maintain support for CEA-708 closed captioning.
• Work on Linux kernel development and customization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software components into a Yocto-based environment.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues related to video processing and playback.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in video software development.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in video software engineering, with a focus on mpv/ffmpeg/mpp Rockchip video stack.
• Familiarity with CEA-708 closed captioning standards.
• Strong background in Linux kernel development and customization.
• Experience working with Yocto Project for embedded Linux systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills in a remote work environment.
