The team is made up of talented engineers and innovators who are passionate about what they do. We are seeking a Principal Embedded Software Engineer to join our team in Bristol.
As the Principal Embedded Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the software at the Linux kernel driver layer and the embedded firmware. You will work closely with our hardware and software teams to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. You will also be responsible for mentoring and coaching junior engineers, helping to develop their skills and expertise.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in embedded software development, with a proven track record of success.
- 5 years’ experience in writing Linux Kernel device drivers for complex and high-performance devices
- Strong understanding of embedded software architecture and design principles.
- Experience with wireless communication protocols and technologies.
- Extensive experience with Embedded C
- Experience with RTOS
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Additional Desirables:
- have knowledge of the Linux Kernel networking system - Ideally through the experience of writing network drivers.
- have experience in using C and Python
