Java Software Engineer - Multiple Roles Available

• 6 months freelance contract + extensions - long-term project

This company is a leading high-tech organization in the Netherlands, creating safety-critical solutions for civil, research, and infrastructure purposes. Their teams work on advanced radar/sensor software, real-time data processing, cybersecurity solutions, and AI-driven analytics enhancing communication and safety

What You Will Do...

• Design, implement, and maintain Java-based software for radar/sensor control, data visualization, and cybersecurity.

• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum teams, covering requirements, architecture, coding, testing, and continuous improvement.

• Optimize for real-time performance, memory usage, and reliability across high-end graphics applications and simulators.

• Participate in architecture discussions with system stakeholders to ensure code quality, scalability, and maintainability.

Technical Focus...

• Java/JVM with frameworks like Swing, JavaFX (UI design, concurrency, performance).

• 2D/3D graphics (e.g., OpenGL) for advanced visualization and simulation.

• Real-time data processing algorithms, sensor fusion, and event handling.

• Linux environment, IntelliJ IDE, and Agile practices.

• CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Maven, Nexus, Git, Bitbucket).

• Automated Testing (JUnit, Cucumber) and TDD/BDD approaches.

• Possible AI/ML integration, data analytics, and secure coding principles.

If You Have...

• Strong proven experience in Java software development (UI, concurrency, performance, robust design patterns).

• Familiarity with multiple technical focuses described above.

• Familiarity with Agile development, version control, and test automation.

• Strong communication skills, team-oriented mindset, and proactive problem-solving approach.

• Fluency in Dutch.
