I'm working with a  leading technology-driven company is looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Developer for a position located in Houston, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a scalable, flexible, secure, and high-performing cloud and mobile platform, guiding it through production deployment. You'll also be tasked with automating cloud operations and processes through build and test automation. The ideal candidate will be team-oriented, with a focus on continuous improvement to contribute to the overall success of the company's development operations.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of cloud architecture and software solutions across various teams, including mobile app and external cloud development.
• Design and maintain a scalable, secure, and flexible IoT platform that meets or exceeds transaction volume expectations.
• Participate in design and code reviews, agile development, and testing processes.
• Develop tools for deployment, system monitoring, and support. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in automated development, testing, and production environments.
• Create prototypes, reference architectures, guidelines, and recommendations for the development team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
• Multiple years of experience in cloud, mobile app, or IoT architecture design and implementation.
• Multiple years of experience in technical leadership and infrastructure architecture.
• Strong expertise in software development processes and cloud architecture, particularly in meeting security, scalability, and availability requirements.
• Advanced knowledge of AWS technologies, including Lambda, SNS, S3, API Gateway, SES, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail.
• Experience with infrastructure components, database technologies, and virtualization technologies.
• Proven experience designing and managing cloud-based distributed platforms across geographic regions is a plus.
