C++ Software Engineer - Multiple Roles Available

• Hybrid work model - 4 days per week on-site required

• Rate up to €80/hour

• 6 months freelance contract + extensions - long-term project

This company is a leading high-tech organization in the Netherlands, creating safety-critical solutions for civil, research, and infrastructure purposes. Their teams work on advanced radar/sensor software, real-time data processing, cybersecurity solutions, and AI-driven analytics enhancing communication and safety

What You Will Do...

• Design, develop and maintain C++ applications focused on real-time sensor control, data processing, and advanced algorithms

• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum teams, participating in requirements analysis, architecture, design, coding, testing, and ongoing optimization.

• Integrate high-level software modules to handle massive data throughput, concurrency, and robust system operations.

• Contribute to discussions with architects and domain experts on solutions that align with security, scalability, and best practices.

Technical Focus

• C++ (11+), CMake, and real-time application design.

• Agile development environment, using version control and continuous integration (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Maven/Nexus for dependency management).

• Unit Testing (Google Test) and automated testing frameworks (Cucumber) to ensure software quality.

• Potential exposure to Matlab/Simulink for modeling (not mandatory).

• Emphasis on performance, scalability, and secure coding in high-level architectures.

If You Have...

• Strong, proven experience in C++ development, focusing on real-time or high-performance systems

• Familiarity with multiple technical focuses described above.

• Comfortable working in multidisciplinary teams, with strong communication skills and an Agile mindset.

• Familiarity with Agile development, version control, and test automation.

• Strong communication skills, team-oriented mindset, and proactive problem-solving approach.

• Fluency in Dutch.
