Engineering Manager - Edge AI

Location: Bay Area, CA (Hybrid - 2/3 days onsite)

Compensation: $240,000 - $300,000 base + bonus + equity

That’s exactly what my Bay Area client is building, and they’re now looking for an Engineering Manager to scale their Edge AI team.

This isn’t just another management role. You’ll be at the heart of a company pioneering low-power, on-device intelligence - solving problems the cloud simply can’t touch.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and grow a team of world-class embedded AI engineers.
• Own hiring strategy, ensuring the team scales with top-tier talent.
• Drive the technical roadmap, working closely with product and hardware leadership.
• Balance hands-on technical involvement with mentorship and people leadership.
• Ensure your team delivers production-ready Edge AI solutions optimised for latency, memory, and power.

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years in engineering (embedded systems, AI deployment, or edge computing).
• 2+ years in team leadership/management with proven hiring and mentoring success.
• Strong technical foundation (C++ / Python / embedded ML frameworks.
• Comfortable leading projects where hardware, firmware, and AI meet.
• Bonus: experience with low-power IoT, wearables, or anomaly detection.
