A highly innovative European deep-tech company is developing a new class of sensing technology designed to enable secure and seamless interaction between people and devices. Their platform combines advanced semiconductor processes with novel system architectures, opening up new possibilities for authentication and identity verification across consumer, industrial, and connected-device applications.

They are looking to strengthen their core engineering team with an experienced FPGA Prototyping Engineer who can help translate cutting-edge sensor capabilities into working system prototypes and real-world applications.

Key responsibilities:

• Designing and implementing FPGA-based prototypes using VHDL
• Translating system and sensor requirements into functional prototype architectures
• Supporting high-speed data processing and communication between FPGA, ASIC and MCU
• Developing prototype environments to evaluate sensor performance, power consumption and reliability
• Collaborating across system design, electronics, and product teams
• Supporting feature definition, testing and validation
• Creating design documentation and maintaining configuration management and version control

Ideal Profile:

• Senior experience in FPGA design and system prototyping experience
• Strong experience with VHDL and ideally Altera-based FPGA platforms
• Experience with high-speed data processing and video/image pipelines
• Experience with configuration management and version control workflows
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-disciplinary engineering teams
