Senior ServiceNow CMDB Developer / Consultant

5V Tech are supporting a large enterprise technology organisation in Cambridge with a critical ServiceNow CMDB uplift programme.

They are looking for a hands-on ServiceNow CMDB / ITOM specialist to help improve a complex live CMDB environment across data quality, Discovery, Service Mapping, integrations, automation, dashboards and remediation.

This is not a generic ServiceNow developer role. They need someone with real CMDB and ITOM depth who can work under architectural direction, understand a messy and low-maturity CMDB environment, and deliver practical technical improvements.

You will be responsible for:

• Delivering hands-on ServiceNow CMDB administration, configuration and data-quality improvement
• Remediating duplicate, stale, orphaned and incomplete CI records
• Configuring CMDB Health dashboards, remediation views and operational reporting
• Supporting Discovery, including MID Servers, credentials, schedules, patterns and troubleshooting
• Validating Service Mapping and service-to-infrastructure relationships
• Working with IRE, reconciliation logic, source precedence and CI identification under architectural guidance
• Building automation using Flow Designer, Business Rules, Script Includes, Transform Maps, Import Sets and scheduled jobs
• Supporting REST/SOAP integrations, data ingestion and integration-related configuration
• Analysing CMDB data to identify quality issues, source conflicts, missing relationships and remediation priorities
• Supporting testing, release activity, documentation and knowledge transfer to internal teams

Key experience:

• Strong hands-on ServiceNow CMDB administration, configuration and data-quality improvement experience
• ServiceNow ITOM Discovery experience, including MID Servers, credentials, schedules and troubleshooting
• Good understanding of CI classes, CMDB tables, relationships, IRE, reconciliation and identification rules
• Experience with CMDB Health, duplicate detection, stale CI handling and remediation workflows
• Service Mapping or service-to-infrastructure relationship mapping experience
• ServiceNow scripting and automation experience across Business Rules, Script Includes, Flow Designer, Scheduled Jobs, UI Policies and Client Scripts
• Import Sets, Transform Maps, Data Sources and data loading / normalisation experience
• REST/SOAP integrations, IntegrationHub or Service Graph Connector experience
• Practical data analysis experience using ServiceNow reporting, Excel, Power BI, SQL or similar tools
• Experience working in existing enterprise ServiceNow environments rather than only clean new implementations

CSDM 4.0 / 5.0 knowledge, ServiceNow CMDB / ITOM / Discovery certifications, cloud discovery experience, Performance Analytics or Service Graph Connector experience would be beneficial.
