Senior Business Development Manager - Account Growth focus

• Amsterdam, Netherlands
• 2 days in the office, 3 days working from home
• Up to €90 000 - including holiday allowance + 20% performance bonus + Company Car
• Full-time contract (Standard Dutch model - 12 months initial FTC, then transferred to Permanent contract)

5V Tech is supporting a fast-growing energy tech scale-up in Amsterdam that is building advanced EMS for commercial and industrial customers. Their platform optimises energy use across solar, batteries, EV charging and grid capacity, helping organisations reduce costs, stay within limits, and unlock growth without major infrastructure upgrades.

This is a full sales cycle, strategic account growth position. You will manage warm leads, enterprise prospects, and existing accounts with a focus on long-term value creation.

Responsibilities:

• Lead complex, solution-oriented sales cycles from first engagement to close

• Build and expand strategic relationships across senior stakeholders

• Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts

• Translate customer energy challenges into actionable, commercial solutions

• Position integrated EMS solutions combining storage, solar, EV charging and grid optimisation

• Work closely with Product, Marketing and Customer Success to ensure a seamless customer experience

• Maintain a disciplined, predictable pipeline in CRM

• Stay up to date on market developments, regulations and technology trends

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in sales or account management within energy management, EMS, smart infrastructure or related sectors

• Proven track record in complex, consultative solution selling

• Experience managing enterprise accounts and senior stakeholders

• Strong negotiation and closing skills

• Fluent in Dutch and English (additional languages such as French or German would be a bonus)

• Data-driven, organised and comfortable in a fast-growing scale-up
