Lead Account Manager - Smart building

• Salary dependent on experience + 13th month + holiday allowance + performance bonus
• Permanent, full-time contract (Standard Dutch model - 12 months initial FTC, then transferred to Permanent contract)

5V Tech are supporting a fast-growing technology company operating across IoT, smart buildings, and energy optimisation, located in Amsterdam.

Following continued growth, they are looking for an Account Management Lead to take ownership of key client relationships and drive account growth. This is a high-impact role where you will play a key part in expanding existing customers while also identifying and converting new opportunities.

The role

A strategic, client-facing position where you will own and grow a portfolio of key accounts.

You will act as the bridge between customers and internal teams, ensuring clients maximise value from the platform, while taking a proactive approach to uncovering new business within existing accounts and beyond.

Key responsibilities

• Own and grow relationships with key enterprise customers
• Lead, mentor, and develop the account management function
• Act as the main point of contact for both commercial and technical discussions
• Translate complex technical solutions into clear business value for clients
• Drive account expansion through upsell and cross-sell opportunities
• Work closely with product and engineering teams to align on customer needs

What they are looking for

• Extensive experience in account management, customer success, or similar roles
• Proven experience managing enterprise or strategic accounts
• Background in smart buildings, IoT, or energy-related technologies
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify growth opportunities
• Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Previous experience leading or mentoring a team is a strong advantage
• Fluent Dutch speaking
