Senior Android Platform / BSP Engineer (Contract)

• Location: Fully Remote (Europe or US time zones preferred)

• Contract Type: Freelance Contract - Initial 12 months with extensions

• Rate: Up to €450 per day – Room for negotiation

We are working with a leading consultancy in France that is looking for 2 Senior Android Platform / BSP Engineers to join their embedded linux team. This is a fully remote contract but they are working with a US-based customer so US or European time zones are highly preferred.

In this role you will work across the full Android platform stack, contributing to Android bring-up, BSP development, system integration and low level debugging on embedded hardware platforms.

Responsibilities include:

• End-to-end Android bring-up on embedded hardware
• Android build system customization and debugging
• BSP, kernel, and HAL development
• Debugging complex issues across bootloader, kernel, HAL, and Android services
• SELinux policy development and Android security work (excluding TEE)
• Collaboration with distributed engineering teams

Key Skills:

• Strong experience with Embedded Linux and at least a couple of years of working on low-level Android platforms.
• End-to-end Android bring-up experience
• Ability to work across the entire stack: Bootloader, Kernel, HAL, Android services
• Experience of trouble-shooting at all levels

Bonus points:

• SE Linux and Android security (excluding TEE)
• Experience on Qualcomm SoC
