A venture-backed robotics startup is building rugged autonomous systems designed for high-risk, real-world environments. Their technology is already being tested and deployed with major industrial operators, emergency response organizations, and government programs across the U.S.

Backed by leading investors and entering a major growth phase, they’re now hiring a Commercial Lead to work directly alongside the founding team and help scale customer partnerships, pilots, and go-to-market operations.

This is a rare opportunity to join an early-stage company where you’ll influence commercial strategy, shape customer relationships from day one, and play a key role in scaling breakthrough technology into critical industries.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Partner directly with founders on strategic sales and business development initiatives
  • Lead customer discovery, demos, pilots, and deployments across industrial and government sectors
  • Build relationships with enterprise clients, public-sector organizations, channel partners, and integrators
  • Support complex deal cycles involving multiple stakeholders and technical buying processes
  • Develop proposals and support responses for government programs, grants, and procurement opportunities
  • Improve commercial infrastructure including CRM workflows, sales processes, and GTM strategy
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering and product teams to translate customer feedback into product direction

What They’re Looking For

  • 3–6 years’ experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or consultative B2B/B2G sales
  • Experience navigating complex stakeholder environments and long sales cycles
  • Background selling into industrial, defense, public safety, infrastructure, or technical markets is highly desirable
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable in fast-paced startup environments with high ownership and autonomy
  • Familiarity with CRM and outbound tools such as HubSpot, Apollo, Clay, or similar
  • Willingness to travel for customer meetings, demos, and industry events
