Software Engineer

Location: New York

Salary: $180,000 pa plus Equity

We're partnering with a venture-backed AI startup building a next-generation platform at the intersection of intelligent systems, data infrastructure, and modern software engineering.

You'll play a critical role in shaping both the product and the technical foundation of the business. This is a high-impact opportunity for someone who enjoys solving difficult technical problems, moving quickly, and building products from the ground up.

You'll work directly with the founders, influence key architectural decisions, and help define the future direction of the platform.

This role is ideal for an engineer with strong backend or infrastructure experience who is excited by the emergence of AI-native products and wants to work across multiple areas of the stack. You'll have significant autonomy, broad technical ownership, and the opportunity to build systems that directly impact customers from day one.

Essential Experience

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering, backend development, platform engineering, or infrastructure engineering
• Strong Python development experience
• Experience with TypeScript and modern software development practices
• Deep understanding of APIs, distributed systems, asynchronous processing, and scalable architectures
• Experience designing and operating production systems
• Experience building data pipelines, ETL workflows, or large-scale data processing systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and a pragmatic engineering mindset
