AI / Machine Learning Engineer - Speech & Audio

Salary: $140,000 - $180,000 pa

We’re looking for someone to join an innovative team at the forefront of AI-driven audio technology, building solutions that push the boundaries of speech processing, audio recognition, and conversational AI. On a mission is to transform how people interact with sound.

You’ll work on designing, training, and deploying ML models that understand and generate speech, improve audio quality, or extract meaningful insights from sound data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement ML/DL models for speech and audio tasks such as ASR, speaker diarization, voice activity detection, enhancement, and synthesis.
• Develop and maintain robust pipelines for data preprocessing, feature extraction, training, and evaluation.
• Collaborate with data engineers, product teams, and researchers to deliver scalable solutions.
• Evaluate and benchmark models using real-world datasets.
• Stay up to date with the latest research in audio AI and contribute to internal innovation.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience working on machine learning projects in the speech or audio domain.
• Strong programming skills in Python, with experience using ML libraries such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Solid understanding of audio signal processing, feature extraction (e.g., MFCCs, spectrograms), and neural architectures like CNNs, RNNs, Transformers, etc.
• Experience working with speech datasets such as LibriSpeech, VoxCeleb, or Common Voice.
• Familiarity with real-time audio systems, streaming pipelines, or on-device ML is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
