Java Web Developer

We’re partnering with a leading international technology consultancy to find an experienced Java Web Developer for an exciting project with a global end client based in Barcelona. This is a contract role, ideal for developers who thrive in high-impact environments and can hit the ground running.

You’ll be joining a collaborative team working on enterprise-grade web applications. From crafting responsive UIs to building scalable backend systems, this role offers full-stack challenges in a fast-paced setting.

What you’ll be working on:

• Developing and maintaining enterprise-level web apps using Java (17+), JSP, and Servlets

• Creating dynamic, responsive UIs with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery

• Implementing AJAX-based data exchange (jQuery AJAX, DWR, or AjaxTags) and JSON

• Writing and optimizing SQL queries (Oracle 21c XE / MySQL)

• Deploying applications on Apache Tomcat

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and deliver features

• Using tools like Eclipse and PL/SQL Developer for development and debugging

• Following best practices for secure, maintainable, and scalable code

You’ll fit right in if you have:

• Hands-on experience in Java web development

• Experience with Maven or Gradle for build automation

• Strong understanding of JDBC optimization and connection pooling

• Familiarity with RESTful services and Git is a plus
