This global leader in the manufacture of wireless chipsets for IoT use-cases is searching for a skilled Secure Firmware Engineer to join their specialised R&D team.
Here, you will take a vital role in developing the firmware to safeguard their cutting-edge connected silicon products that utilize technologies such as UWB, Matter, Thread, ZigBee, and Bluetooth.
You Will:
- Design and develop secure firmware for resource-constrained connected devices
- Incorporate advanced threat modeling, security protocols, and cryptographic algorithms
- Implement features such as secure boot, OTA updates, hardware acceleration
- Ensure adherence to industry standards (ISO 27001, NIST, IEC 62443)
- Participate in certification programs (PSA, SESIP, Common Criteria)
- Create comprehensive documentation including threat models and security requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices
- Contribute to incident response and countermeasure activities activities
What you need:
- Strong embedded software development experience on resource-constrained devices
- Direct experience in security and wireless communication standards (BLE, UWB, IEEE 802.15.4)
- In-depth knowledge of cryptographic principles, and common security vulnerabilities (buffer overflows, injection attacks, side-channel attacks)
- Familiarity with security tools and frameworks for wireless communication security
- Communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- Understanding of connected IoT devices, including cloud enrollment and production
