Staff Field Application Engineer – Edge AI

• (US-Based, Remote/Hybrid)
• $190,000 pa plus bonus

A fast-growing, well-funded semiconductor innovator in the edge AI space is looking for a Staff Field Application Engineer to support customer engagements across the US and globally. This is a high-impact, customer-facing role working at the intersection of AI software and advanced hardware acceleration.

The Opportunity

You’ll play a critical role in both pre-sales and post-sales activities, helping customers successfully deploy cutting-edge AI inference solutions. This includes working with advanced AI processors and software frameworks designed for high-performance, energy-efficient edge computing across industries such as aerospace, defense, robotics, and smart infrastructure.

What You’ll Be Doing

Pre-Sales

• Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to prospective customers
• Support design wins by developing technical proposals and solution architectures
• Partner closely with sales and engineering teams to drive customer success

Post-Sales

• Provide hands-on technical support to customers integrating AI hardware/software
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system-level issues
• Train customers on best practices and optimisation techniques
• Act as a trusted advisor to key technical stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar
• Strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python (OpenCL or scripting languages a plus)
• Experience with AI acceleration hardware (GPU, FPGA, ASIC, or similar)
• Understanding of computer architecture, heterogeneous systems, and memory interfaces (PCIe, networking, etc.)
• Exposure to machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or ONNX
• Background in edge AI, embedded systems, or computer vision is highly desirable
• Comfortable working directly with customers in technical, sometimes high-pressure environments
